2 lessons I learnt from exercising

I have been dabbling with exercise since 2 years but in the past 8 months I have taken it seriously. Doing it almost everyday had made a few changes in me. 2 changes/lessons I learnt from exercising are the following:
1. Helped me to breath better
Whenever I exercise, naturally I try to breath through my nose and that too in a rhythm of my reps. When I am contracting I inhale and while relaxing I exhale. Repeating this practice every time I exercise helps me to form a habit of breathing through nose (even during sleep).
From what I have read and watched, breathing through nose is better than breathing through mouth. There are multiple benefits of breathing through nose such as:
Humidifies the inhaled air so that the throat gets dried less frequently.
Most of the dust particles present in the air are filtered by the cilia (hair in nose) so that you can breathe better quality air
Increasing the oxygen intake
Circulation of air is improved
2. Taught me self discipline
When I initially started serious exercising (about 8 months ago), there was a part of my mind which wanted to continue my work and not to exercise. I wanted to exercise because I wanted to change my body and the way I was feeling because of it and about it.
Everyday day I had to rebel this thought and exercise. Through the months, I have taught myself self discipline in my things because of this one habit of exercising. When I exercised in the morning, every time, I was motivated to fight all the reposing feelings I had during the course of the day such as not studying, watching TV the whole day, eat too much, and much more. Every evening I exercised I was motivated to wake up early the next day and give my best the whole day.
After 8 months of practicing self discipline, I can say that I am the person who I am right now because of my habit of exercising. Addition to exercising, I also started this newsletter that you have been reading over the months.
It’s so crazy seeing my body transformed from a fat sausage to a physically and mentally strong person.
Just a suggestion - Try exercising every other day from tomorrow (or as soon as possible) and you can also see what I mean.
